In a dramatic escalation of tensions in the Middle East, Israeli fighter jets carried out a large-scale airstrike targeting an underground military bunker associated with Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, in Tehran. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that around 50 Israeli Air Force jets participated in the coordinated operation and later released video footage of the strike.

According to the IDF, the heavily fortified bunker was located beneath a leadership compound in central Tehran and was designed to serve as a secure command center for Iran’s top leadership during wartime. The underground complex reportedly stretched beneath several streets and contained multiple entrances, meeting rooms, and operational facilities for senior officials.

Israeli military officials said the strike was based on precise intelligence and involved the use of multiple munitions to destroy the facility. The bunker was believed to have continued functioning as a strategic command hub for Iranian officials even after earlier reports linked the site to key leadership operations.

Footage released by the Israeli military shows fighter jets preparing for the mission and aerial visuals connected to the bombardment of the underground site. The IDF described the operation as part of a broader campaign aimed at neutralizing strategic threats posed by Iran and weakening its military command structure.

The strike comes amid rapidly escalating hostilities between Israel and Iran, raising fears of wider regional instability. Analysts warn that continued military action between the two rivals could have significant geopolitical consequences and potentially affect global energy markets and regional security dynamics.

As tensions remain high, international observers are closely monitoring developments in the region, with concerns growing over the possibility of further retaliation and a broader conflict across the Middle East.
