New Delhi: A little-known outfit calling itself the “Cockroach Janta Party” organized a series of rallies across parts of the national capital on Friday, drawing attention with its unusual name and unconventional messaging aimed at young people.
The group, which appears to operate more as a satirical or symbolic movement than a traditional political party, gathered supporters in central areas of Delhi, where participants voiced concerns over unemployment, rising living costs, and what they described as a lack of opportunities for the country’s youth.
Protesters carried placards with quirky slogans and adopted a humorous tone to highlight serious issues. Organizers claimed that the name “Cockroach Janta Party” symbolizes resilience and survival, drawing a parallel between cockroaches and the struggles faced by ordinary citizens in difficult circumstances.
