New Delhi: The conflict in West Asia intensified on Saturday after Kuwait condemned Iran’s latest missile and drone attacks as a “dangerous escalation,” raising fears of a wider regional war.
According to reports, Iran launched multiple missiles and drones targeting Kuwait and Bahrain, in what officials describe as retaliation for recent U.S. strikes on Iranian military infrastructure. Kuwaiti authorities confirmed that several incoming threats were successfully intercepted, preventing casualties and major damage.
The attacks come amid a fragile ceasefire that has repeatedly been tested by escalating hostilities between Iran and the United States. Earlier, U.S. forces reportedly shot down Iranian drones near the Strait of Hormuz and carried out strikes on Iranian radar and surveillance sites. In response, Tehran launched fresh attacks targeting U.S.-linked military facilities in the Gulf region.
