MUMBAI / STUTTGART — Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s largest IT services exporter, has entered into a landmark multi-year agreement with German luxury automaker Porsche AG, pairing a major corporate acquisition with a multi-billion-dollar technology contract.

Under the agreement, TCS will acquire 100% of Porsche’s management and IT consulting subsidiary, MHP Management- und IT-Beratung GmbH, for an enterprise value of €320 million (approximately $373 million / ₹3,575 crore). Alongside the buyout, Porsche has committed to a five-year strategic engagement worth €1.25 billion (around $1.46 billion / ₹13,967 crore) with TCS and MHP to accelerate artificial intelligence adoption and digital transformation across its operations.

Driving Software-Defined Mobility and AI

The alliance is designed to industrialize artificial intelligence across Porsche’s mobility value chain. The mandate spans several core automotive functions:

Intelligent Manufacturing & Operations: Deploying automated, data-driven systems on the factory floor.

Engineering & Product Development: Accelerating software-defined vehicle architectures and next-generation mobility platforms.

Customer Experience: Enhancing digital touchpoints and connected services for Porsche owners worldwide.

As part of the pact, TCS will establish a dedicated AI Mobility Centre of Excellence (CoE) to incubate, test, and scale enterprise AI solutions tailored to the luxury automotive sector.

Strategic Significance

“As AI, software, and data redefine the automotive industry, this partnership brings together TCS’ capabilities in AI, engineering, and business transformation with MHP’s deep automotive consulting expertise. Together, we will industrialize AI at scale for Porsche.”

— K. Krithivasan, CEO & Managing Director, Tata Consultancy Services

For Porsche, the transaction allows the automaker to streamline its operating focus while securing an established global technology partner.

“Porsche is taking another important step in its strategy to focus resolutely on its core business with the transfer of MHP to Tata Consultancy Services.
