Telugu star Nani has scored a massive win overseas as his upcoming action thriller, The Paradise, sparked a buying frenzy across theaters in North America. The movie smashed through the million-dollar mark before its official release, setting a new personal record for the actor and aiming for an all-time box-office milestone.
A Late Ticket Rush Pushes Sales Over the Top
Moviegoers rushed to grab seats during the final 24 hours of advance booking, adding over $300,000 in a single day. That last-minute push carried total premiere pre-sales across the United States and Canada to a whopping $1.11 million (around ₹10.6 crore).
In the United States alone, the film locked in more than $1.03 million with over 45,000 tickets sold across hundreds of cinema halls. Strong turnout in states like Texas and California helped fuel the rapid rise.
A Career-Best Opening for Nani
These numbers mark the biggest premiere launch of Nani’s career by a wide margin. His previous best, HIT: The Third Case, brought in roughly $450,000 to $870,000 in premiere sales. The Paradise blew past that mark days before opening night, proving the actor’s steadily growing draw with international audiences.
The project reunites Nani with director Srikanth Odela after their hit 2023 movie Dasara. Backed by an ensemble cast featuring Mohanlal and Sonali Bendre, plus a high-energy soundtrack by composer Anirudh Ravichander, buzz among movie fans has been exceptionally high.
Eyes on the All-Time Top 10
With premiere shows rolling out and positive momentum building, box-office trackers expect The Paradise to push its total premiere-day gross toward the $1.5 million range.
If walk-in ticket sales remain steady, the film is positioned to break into the list of Top 10 Tollywood premieres in North America history, potentially challenging titles like Guntur Kaaram and Peddi to claim one of the strongest overseas starts for Telugu cinema this year.
