War of words erupts in Parliament and social media after strong remarks by Congress leader
A fresh political controversy has erupted after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reportedly demanded the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar and used strong words against him, calling him “deshdrohi” (traitor). The remarks quickly triggered a sharp reaction from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), turning the issue into a major political debate.
According to reports, Rahul Gandhi made the comments during a political discussion, accusing Gyanesh Kumar of acting against public interest. He also said that such a person should not continue in his position and must step down immediately. His statement has since gone viral on social media, drawing strong reactions from supporters and critics.
The use of the word “deshdrohi” has added more heat to the situation, with political opponents calling the remark “irresponsible” and “unacceptable in public discourse.” Supporters of Rahul Gandhi, however, argue that he was expressing strong concern over governance and accountability.
Soon after the comments surfaced, BJP leaders responded strongly. Party members accused Rahul Gandhi of using offensive language and trying to damage the image of individuals without proof. They said such remarks show frustration and are meant to create unnecessary controversy.
BJP spokespersons also defended Gyanesh Kumar, stating that he has served in his role with responsibility and that allegations against him are politically motivated. They demanded that Rahul Gandhi should apologise for his comments.
The controversy has now become a talking point in political circles, with leaders from both sides exchanging sharp statements. Social media platforms also saw heated debates, with users divided over the issue.
While Congress leaders have supported Rahul Gandhi’s stand, BJP leaders continue to call his remarks harmful and misleading. The matter is expected to remain in focus in the coming days as both parties continue to trade charges.
For now, there has been no official statement from Gyanesh Kumar regarding the controversy.
