Digital Connexion, a leading data center and digital infrastructure provider, has announced a massive investment plan of $11 billion in Andhra Pradesh by 2030, aimed at building one of India’s most advanced AI-native data center ecosystems. The investment marks one of the largest commitments in the state’s technology and infrastructure sector in recent years.
According to company officials, the long-term project will focus on developing cutting-edge, energy-efficient data centers designed specifically to power next-generation artificial intelligence workloads, cloud computing needs, and high-performance digital operations. The proposed facilities will integrate advanced cooling technologies, AI-driven energy management, and high-density computing capabilities, positioning Andhra Pradesh as a major hub for digital innovation.
The state government welcomed the announcement, highlighting its alignment with Andhra Pradesh’s vision of becoming a preferred destination for global tech companies. Officials noted that the investment is expected to generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs, boost ancillary industries, and strengthen the region’s IT and digital services ecosystem.
Digital Connexion’s CEO stated that rapid growth in AI adoption globally has accelerated the demand for data processing capacity, and India—particularly Andhra Pradesh—offers a strategic location with strong policy support, robust infrastructure, and an expanding tech talent pool.
The first phase of development is expected to commence soon, with initial facilities slated to go live within the next few years. By 2030, the company aims to establish a fully operational, large-scale AI-native data center cluster in the state.
Industry experts say the investment could significantly enhance India’s competitiveness in the digital infrastructure space, especially as AI-driven applications continue to evolve across sectors such as finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and e-governance.
With this announcement, Andhra Pradesh is set to emerge as a key player in the rapidly expanding global AI and data center landscape.
