In a move likely to shake up the budget smartphone segment in India, realme has officially launched its new handset Realme P4x 5G — a device that packs premium-ish features such as a 144 Hz display and a massive 7,000 mAh battery, all at an aggressive price point.
Key highlights
The Realme P4x 5G features a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD panel with up to 144 Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits peak brightness, making it one of the smoothest & brightest displays in its price range.
Under the hood runs a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset, along with up to 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage (plus virtual RAM support).
The phone is backed by a 7,000 mAh battery — ideal for heavy use, long gameplay sessions, or all-day video consumption — and supports 45 W fast charging, plus “bypass/reverse charging.”
For photography, it houses a 50 MP main rear camera (with a secondary 2 MP sensor) and an 8 MP selfie front camera.
The device also carries an IP64 rating (dust and splash resistance) and a vapour-chamber style cooling system — boosting durability and enabling sustained performance during intensive tasks like gaming.
Price & Availability
The Realme P4x 5G starts at ₹15,499 for the base 6 GB + 128 GB variant. The higher-end 8 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 256 GB models carry higher price tags.
As part of launch offers, Realme is reportedly offering discounts, potentially reducing the effective price even further during sale events.
Sales start on December 10, 2025, via realme’s online store, e-commerce platforms, and select offline retailers.
What This Means for Users
With Realme P4x 5G, realme appears to be targeting users who want a balance of performance, battery life and display smoothness — without spending premium-money. The combination of 144 Hz display, large battery, 5G connectivity, capable chipset, and fast charging makes it an attractive option for gamers, heavy media consumers, or anyone looking for “all-rounded” budget smartphone experience.
Given its aggressive pricing and solid feature set, the P4x might force other brands to raise the bar for what “budget smartphones” offer in late 2025.
