Motorola has officially launched its latest smartphone, the ultra-thin Edge 70, in India, bringing a blend of premium design, solid performance and advanced imaging features to the mid-range segment. The phone goes on sale later this month and promises flagship-style features at a competitive price.
Price & Availability
The Motorola Edge 70 is priced at ₹29,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant in India.
Select bank offers provide an additional ₹1,000 discount, bringing the effective price to around ₹28,999.
Sales begin on 23 December 2025 through Flipkart, Motorola’s official website, and leading offline retail stores.
Design & Display
The Edge 70 stands out for its ultra-slim build, measuring just 5.99 mm thick and weighing approximately 159 g — making it one of Motorola’s lightest and slimmest phones yet. It features a premium aircraft-grade aluminium frame with a textured finish in Pantone-selected colours: Bronze Green, Lily Pad and Gadget Grey.
The phone sports a large 6.7-inch 1.5K AMOLED display that supports a 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness for vibrant and sharp visuals.
Performance & Software
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, the Edge 70 delivers solid performance for everyday use and moderate gaming.
It runs Android 16 with Hello UI, with Motorola promising three major OS upgrades and four years of security updates.
Connectivity options include broad 5G support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and more.
Camera Capabilities
Motorola has equipped the Edge 70 with a versatile triple-camera system that includes:
50 MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS)
50 MP ultra-wide & macro sensor
50 MP front camera
All three sensors support 4K video recording at 60 fps and are enhanced with Moto AI imaging features such as AI Video Enhancement, Adaptive Stabilisation and Group Shot.
Battery & Charging
Despite its slim profile, the device packs a 5,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery that Motorola claims can deliver up to 40 hours of usage on a full charge. Fast recharging is supported via 68W TurboPower wired charging and 15W wireless charging, plus reverse charging to power accessories.
Durability & Extras
The Edge 70 boasts IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance along with MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability, ensuring it can withstand everyday rough use.
Enhanced audio is delivered through Dolby Atmos-certified stereo speakers, adding to the multimedia appeal.
Verdict
With its premium design, competitive price point and comprehensive feature set — including a stunning display, powerful cameras and long software support — the Motorola Edge 70 aims to be a strong contender in the mid-range smartphone market in India. Its ultra-thin build and balanced specs make it particularly appealing for users who value both style and performance.
