New Delhi: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Bihar minister Nitin Nabin has been appointed as the party’s National Working President, marking a significant organizational move ahead of upcoming electoral challenges.
The appointment was announced by the BJP leadership on Saturday, underscoring the party’s focus on strengthening its national organizational structure. Nabin, who currently serves as a minister in the Bihar government, is considered a seasoned organizational hand with long experience in party affairs.
A former state BJP president in Bihar, Nitin Nabin has been credited with playing a key role in consolidating the party’s base in the state. His elevation to the national role is being seen as recognition of his administrative capabilities and grassroots connect, particularly in eastern India.
As National Working President, Nabin will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day organizational functioning, coordinating with state units, and assisting the party’s top leadership in implementing strategic decisions across the country.
Party leaders welcomed the appointment, expressing confidence that Nabin’s experience in both governance and organization will help the BJP sharpen its political outreach and strengthen its cadre ahead of crucial state elections and future national contests.
The move is also viewed as part of the BJP’s broader effort to balance governance experience with organizational leadership, while giving greater representation to leaders from key states like Bihar.
