SHANGHAI, China – In a move that effectively ends “battery anxiety” for the modern user, OnePlus has officially launched the Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V in China. The standout feature of both devices is a staggering 9,000mAh Glacier Battery, marking a new frontier for battery capacity in mainstream smartphones.
While most flagship devices currently hover around the 5,000mAh mark, OnePlus has nearly doubled that standard without compromising the phone’s sleekness, maintaining a profile of just 8.5mm.
Dual-Model Strategy: Performance vs. Efficiency
The Turbo 6 series is designed to cater to both hardcore gamers and everyday power users.

Built for the “Always-On” Lifestyle
The new Glacier Battery technology utilizes silicon-carbon materials to achieve high energy density. This allows the Turbo 6 to offer:
Extreme Longevity: Up to 22.5 hours of continuous video playback.
Rapid Recovery: 80W fast charging can take the massive cell from 0% to 50% in just about 10 minutes.
Reverse Charging: Support for 27W wired reverse charging, essentially allowing the phone to act as a power bank for other devices.
Rugged and Refined
Beyond the battery, OnePlus has reinforced these devices with an “All-Zone” durability rating. They carry IP69K certification, meaning they are resistant to high-pressure, high-temperature water jets—a rarity in this price segment. The screens are protected by Oppo’s proprietary Crystal Shield glass, designed to survive significant drops.
Global Outlook
Currently launched in China, industry insiders expect the Turbo 6 to make its international debut later this year, likely rebranded under the popular OnePlus Nord series (potentially as the Nord 6).
“This isn’t just a battery upgrade; it’s a fundamental shift in how we use our mobile devices,” said a OnePlus representative during the keynote. “We are moving toward a world where you charge your phone twice a week, not twice a day.”
