New Delhi, February 2026: The fourth and concluding day of the AI Impact Summit 2026 witnessed a major policy push as Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed global delegates, industry leaders, and researchers, outlining India’s roadmap for ethical and inclusive artificial intelligence.

Speaking to a packed audience of policymakers and technology executives, the Prime Minister emphasized that artificial intelligence must serve humanity rather than replace it. He highlighted India’s ambition to become a global hub for trusted AI solutions while ensuring safeguards for privacy, employment, and social stability.

Focus on “Human-Centric AI”

Modi stressed that the future of AI should be built on three pillars — responsibility, transparency, and accessibility. According to him, developing nations must not be left behind in the AI revolution, and affordable computing infrastructure will play a key role in bridging the digital divide.

He also announced initiatives to expand AI education in schools and universities, encouraging startups to build solutions in agriculture, healthcare, and governance. The government plans to support local language AI models to ensure technology benefits rural populations as well.

Industry & Global Collaboration

Delegates from major technology firms and research institutions participated in panel discussions on AI safety, data governance, and economic impact. The summit explored how AI can boost productivity while preparing workers for new types of jobs created by automation.

Several partnerships between Indian startups and international companies were revealed, focusing on data centers, chip design, and generative AI applications for public services.

Responsible Innovation Message

In his concluding remarks, Modi warned that unchecked AI development could lead to misinformation and economic imbalance. He urged countries to cooperate on global standards rather than compete in an unregulated race.

“The world must adopt AI that empowers people, not replaces them,” he said, calling for a collective framework that balances innovation with accountability.

The AI Impact Summit 2026 closed with a declaration supporting open collaboration, ethical deployment, and equitable access — positioning India as a central player in shaping the future governance of artificial intelligence.
