The MEA stated that it is closely monitoring developments and remains in constant touch with diplomatic missions in the region. Emergency communication channels have also been activated to assist citizens if needed.
This latest directive follows a series of earlier advisories issued over the past few months, reflecting growing concerns over instability in the Middle East. In previous notices, Indian nationals were asked to exercise caution, avoid non-essential travel, and even consider leaving the country amid rising geopolitical tensions.
Officials reiterated that the current 48-hour advisory is a temporary but critical safety measure, urging all Indian citizens in Iran to remain vigilant and cooperate fully with local guidelines until the situation stabilizes.
