Graphics technology leader Nvidia has announced that its latest upscaling technology, DLSS 4.5, will soon be available in 20 games, marking a significant expansion of the company’s AI-driven graphics ecosystem. Alongside the update, Nvidia also confirmed that its new Dynamic Multi Frame Generation feature will be released on March 31, promising smoother gameplay and higher frame rates for supported titles.
DLSS, short for Deep Learning Super Sampling, uses artificial intelligence to upscale lower-resolution frames into sharper, higher-quality images. With the introduction of DLSS 4.5, Nvidia aims to further improve image clarity, performance, and stability, especially in graphically demanding games. The technology is designed to help players achieve higher frame rates without compromising visual quality.
A major highlight of the update is Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, an advanced feature that builds on the company’s frame-generation technology. Instead of generating a single extra frame between rendered frames, the system dynamically creates multiple AI-generated frames. This can significantly boost performance, particularly in high-resolution gaming such as 4K or when ray tracing is enabled.
According to Nvidia, the feature will be available initially on compatible GeForce RTX GPUs, which are built to handle AI-driven rendering tasks. Developers have also been working closely with the company to integrate the technology into upcoming and existing games.
Industry analysts say the expansion of DLSS support reflects Nvidia’s ongoing push to use artificial intelligence to reshape PC gaming performance. With more games adopting the technology, players with supported hardware are expected to see smoother gameplay and improved visuals without requiring expensive hardware upgrades.
The company said additional titles and updates supporting DLSS 4.5 will continue to roll out throughout the year as developers adopt the new capabilities.
