Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday embarked on a three-nation tour, beginning with an official visit to Jordan, aimed at strengthening India’s diplomatic, economic and strategic engagement with key partners in West Asia and Europe.
The Prime Minister’s visit to Jordan comes at the invitation of King Abdullah II and marks an important step in deepening bilateral ties between the two countries. During his stay, PM Modi is scheduled to hold talks with the Jordanian leadership on a wide range of issues, including trade and investment, defence cooperation, counter-terrorism, education, healthcare and people-to-people exchanges.
India and Jordan share long-standing and friendly relations, underpinned by mutual respect and cooperation in regional and global forums. The visit is expected to provide fresh momentum to collaboration in areas such as renewable energy, water conservation, pharmaceuticals and information technology.
After concluding his engagements in Jordan, PM Modi will travel to the second and third destinations on the tour, where he is expected to participate in high-level bilateral meetings and multilateral engagements. These visits are aimed at reinforcing India’s growing global outreach and advancing its strategic partnerships in line with the government’s vision of a stronger role for India on the world stage.
The Ministry of External Affairs said the three-nation visit reflects India’s commitment to enhancing ties with partner countries and addressing shared challenges through dialogue and cooperation.
