Veteran actor Rakesh Bedi has shared an interesting anecdote about filmmaker Aditya Dhar at a time when his latest directorial Dhurandhar is reportedly enjoying a dream run at the global box office, earning over ₹350 crore worldwide.
Speaking in a recent interaction, Bedi reflected on Dhar’s temperament amid the film’s massive success, saying that the director has remained grounded despite the overwhelming response. Quoting Dhar in a light-hearted tone, Bedi said, “Woh apne ghar jaake…,” indicating that instead of celebrating extravagantly, Dhar prefers to return home and quietly focus on his work and family.
According to industry trackers, Dhurandhar has emerged as one of the biggest commercial successes of the year, drawing strong footfalls across domestic and overseas markets. The film’s performance has been bolstered by positive word-of-mouth, high-octane action, and a gripping narrative, making it a crowd favourite.
Bedi, who has closely observed the industry for decades, praised Dhar’s discipline and clarity of vision. He added that such an attitude is rare in an industry often driven by hype and instant gratification. “Success hasn’t changed him,” Bedi noted, adding that Dhar is already immersed in discussions and ideas for future projects.
