Mumbai/New Delhi – December 27, 2025 Popular actor Kajal Aggarwal has sparked a massive conversation online after posting a direct and emotionally charged message regarding the brutal lynching of Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh. Aggarwal joined a growing list of Indian celebrities, including Janhvi Kapoor and Jaya Prada, in demanding justice and urging the Hindu community to speak up against targeted violence.
The Message: “Wake Up Hindus”
Taking to her Instagram story, Kajal Aggarwal shared a powerful poster featuring the phrase “All Eyes on Bangladesh Hindus.” The graphic referenced the horrific visuals that have surfaced from the Mymensingh district, showing the body of a man set on fire.
Aggarwal’s caption was even more pointed:
“Wake up Hindus! Silence won’t save you,” the actor wrote, echoing the sentiments of millions who have been shaken by the viral footage of the incident.
The Incident: The Lynching of Dipu Chandra Das
The outrage stems from the gruesome murder of Dipu Chandra Das, a 27-year-old Hindu garment factory worker in Bhaluka, Mymensingh.
The Allegation: On December 18, 2025, rumors of “blasphemy” spread through the factory where Das worked.
The Attack: Reports indicate that factory supervisors allegedly forced Das to resign before handing him over to an enraged mob of nearly 150 people.
The Brutality: Das was beaten to death, his body was hung from a tree, and then set ablaze in full public view.
The Investigation: Bangladesh’s Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) later confirmed that they found no evidence of blasphemy, describing the killing as a result of unverified rumors and mob frenzy.
Growing Indian Outrage
Kajal Aggarwal’s statement follows a similarly stern post by actor Janhvi Kapoor, who labeled the incident “barbaric” and “slaughter.” Kapoor criticized the “hypocrisy” of those who remain silent on violence close to home while vocalizing concerns for global issues.
In New Delhi, the incident has triggered diplomatic and civil friction:
Protests: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal held massive demonstrations outside the Bangladesh High Commission.
Government Reaction: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has conveyed “strong concerns” to Bangladeshi authorities, urging that the perpetrators be brought to justice swiftly.
Current Status
To date, Bangladeshi authorities have arrested over 12 individuals, including factory managers suspected of orchestrating the handover. However, the incident has reignited deep-seated fears regarding the safety of religious minorities in Bangladesh following the political shifts of 2024.
