The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has stated that the likelihood of a renewed military conflict with the United States remains low, while emphasizing that its forces are fully prepared to respond to any potential aggression.
In an official statement released on Tuesday, senior IRGC officials highlighted that current regional dynamics do not point toward an imminent escalation into direct warfare. However, they cautioned that Iran’s armed forces remain on high alert amid ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
“The probability of war is low, but our readiness is absolute,” an IRGC spokesperson said, underscoring the organization’s commitment to safeguarding Iran’s sovereignty. The remarks come amid fluctuating diplomatic signals and military posturing between Tehran and Washington.
Tensions between Iran and the United States have persisted over issues including nuclear policy, regional influence, and sanctions. While indirect engagements and backchannel negotiations have occasionally eased friction, mistrust continues to define relations between the two nations.
Military analysts suggest that both sides are currently exercising strategic restraint, aiming to avoid a full-scale confrontation while maintaining pressure through economic and political means. The IRGC’s statement appears to reinforce this stance, projecting confidence without signaling immediate escalation.
Despite the guarded optimism, observers note that the situation remains fragile, with any miscalculation or unexpected incident capable of altering the current trajectory.
