New Delhi: Senior journalist Anjana Om Kashyap has filed a defamation suit worth ₹2 crore in the Delhi High Court against popular educator Khan Sir and digital platform 4PM News, alleging that defamatory content targeting her reputation was circulated online.
According to court filings, Kashyap has accused the defendants of publishing and amplifying statements that she claims are false, misleading, and damaging to her professional credibility. The plea asserts that the content in question has caused reputational harm and mental distress, warranting monetary compensation.
The petition urges the court to direct Khan Sir and 4PM News to immediately remove the allegedly defamatory material from all platforms. It also seeks a public apology and an injunction restraining the defendants from making or sharing similar claims in the future.
Legal representatives for Kashyap argued that as a prominent media figure, she is particularly vulnerable to reputational attacks that can spread rapidly through digital channels. They emphasized that unchecked dissemination of such content undermines journalistic integrity and public trust.
