Kolkata: Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday strongly defended her nephew, Abhishek Banerjee, amid signs of internal unrest within the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC). As murmurs of rebellion and factional disagreements grow louder within the party, the West Bengal Chief Minister made it clear that she stands firmly by Abhishek, dismissing allegations against him.
Addressing party workers and leaders, Mamata Banerjee asserted that Abhishek Banerjee “has done no wrong” and accused certain sections within and outside the party of attempting to create divisions.
