Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray has issued a detailed 25-page legal reply rejecting all claims made in a massive ₹500-crore defamation notice sent by Satish Salian, the father of late celebrity manager Disha Salian.
In his point-by-point response, Thackeray firmly denied every accusation, calling the claims baseless, politically driven, and an attempt to tarnish his public image.
The ₹500-Crore Legal Notice
The controversy escalated after Satish Salian sent a legal notice directly to Thackeray’s residence, “Matoshree,” demanding ₹500 crore in damages alongside an unconditional public apology.
Salian took issue with statements Thackeray made on social media. In those posts, Thackeray had claimed that attempts to drag his name into Disha Salian’s death were driven by “political motives” and “personal enmity.” Salian argued that these comments discredited his fight for justice and falsely accused him of having political agendas.
Inside Thackeray’s 25-Page Response
In his 25-page legal counter, Thackeray stood his ground, maintaining that he has done nothing wrong:
Complete Denial: Thackeray rejected every allegation, demand, and monetary claim raised in the notice, terming them groundless.
No Connection to Disha: Reiterating his stance, Thackeray stated clearly that he never met, knew, or had any association with Disha Salian.
Smear Campaign: He stated that his name has been repeatedly and deliberately linked to the tragic death for nearly six years without a shred of evidence.
Support for Fair Inquiry: Thackeray stressed that he respects the legal process and wants any official investigation to proceed fairly, impartially, and without political games.
Background of the Case
Disha Salian, 28, who previously managed several celebrities including late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, died on June 8, 2020, after falling from a residential high-rise in Mumbai’s Malad. Mumbai Police initially treated the matter as an accidental death.
The case returned to the spotlight after the Bombay High Court ordered a fresh investigation, leading the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to register a new FIR to probe the full circumstances surrounding her death.
