The National Testing Agency (NTA) has firmly dismissed allegations of a paper leak in the NEET-UG 2026 examination, labeling the claims as “false and fraudulent.” The agency clarified that there is no evidence to support such rumors and urged candidates and the public not to fall prey to misleading information circulating on social media platforms.
In an official statement, the NTA emphasized that the integrity and security of the NEET-UG examination process remain intact. It further stated that strict protocols and advanced security measures were implemented before, during, and after the examination to prevent any malpractice.
The agency also issued a strong warning to individuals and groups responsible for spreading misinformation. It stated that legal action would be taken against those found guilty of creating panic or attempting to deceive aspirants through fake claims of paper leaks or access to question papers.
NEET-UG, one of the most competitive medical entrance examinations in India, sees participation from millions of students each year. Given the high stakes, the NTA reiterated its commitment to ensuring a fair and transparent examination process for all candidates.
Students have been advised to rely only on official communications from the NTA and avoid engaging with unverified sources. The agency has also encouraged candidates to report any suspicious activity or claims related to the examination.
This clarification comes amid heightened concerns among aspirants following widespread rumors online. However, the NTA’s reassurance aims to restore confidence and maintain the credibility of the examination system.
