WASHINGTON — Tensions in the Middle East have surged to a critical high after U.S. President Donald Trump declared the fragile ceasefire with Iran officially “over.” The announcement was immediately followed by a massive, second consecutive night of American military actions, targeting critical assets deep within Iranian territory.
Massive Airstrikes and Rhetoric Escalate
The latest flare-up was ignited after Iranian forces allegedly targeted several commercial merchant vessels navigating the vital Strait of Hormuz earlier this week. In swift response, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) launched a highly concentrated aerial assault, striking approximately 90 military targets along Iran’s coastline. The Iranian Health Ministry confirmed that the two-day bombardment has left at least 14 people dead and dozens more wounded.
In a rapid multi-front response, Iranian forces launched retaliatory drone and ballistic missile strikes targeting U.S. military assets stationed across Gulf nations, including Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar.
